Big Hard Sun

I've been humming this song called "Hard Sun" by Eddie Vedder which was used as a soundtrack in the movie "Into the wild". The song has a whole country music feel to it, I've always liked the tempo and the guitar riffs, but I've never really paid attention to the lyrics, until yesterday. It is a magical feeling when you suddenly find a song that totally fits your frame of mind. It is indescribable. I am reproducing the lyrics here.



The song on the outwards looks like a tale of a relationship between a man and woman. If you delve deeper you would realize it is actually a guise of a person singing about their destiny. How one has to live with the pressures of this world, over how one wants to lead his own life. The woman is a personification of the inner voice and the hard sun, the unforgiving world we live in.

The Great Mad-ras University Results Saga

Guys i am back with another installment of the Mad-ras university leelais. You may ask what is so great about MU results. Yeah it's great with the precision they keep up in announcing the results. They are so!! on time they always announce a date and deliver the results exactly a month after that date. Can it get any greater than this. I was disappointed with their punctuality last time the one month tripled i got the results weeks before my next semester. Formula for calculating result date: Result date =1000 * (R.D+ 31 days or one month which ever is less) /1ooo R.D = first rumoured date. ( BTW the mutiplied by 1000 and divide by 1000 is just a gimmick to make it more complicated) Talking about the results of the semester i wrote this May they have not delivered yet, obviously considering MU standards. The other day i had an argument with one of my professors about this. Not like i do this once in a blue moon, i do this often. My professor was talking about discontinuing one

My Tryst with God

Does God exist? this question has been lurking me for a long time. Since i was  born and brought up in a religious brahmin family my tryst with God had begun ever since i stepped onto this world. First thing i was taught was to fold my hands and pray. Everyone has two religions. One they are born into, another that they follow after growing up. Sadly most of the hindu customs are pretty much outta this world and higly symbolic. I was neither religious nor an atheist , but somewhere between the two. 19 is probably not the age for thinking about this. I was thinking about my teenage when was a tween and now my salvation. Pinjiliye pazhuthadhu as one would call in Tamil. This was when i started to search why i am here? Is there any being called GOD? Again it brings to Venkey and Mankey Venkey: Finally i found it! The Indian Dream
